Simply Solar Makes Strong Debut on BME Scaleup with 9.3% Rise

Simply Solar made its market debut this Wednesday on BME Scaleup, registering a strong start with shares rising 9.3% to €4.70 each. The company, which had set an initial listing price of €4.30 per share, entered the stock exchange with a valuation of €4.7 million.

A subsidiary of Praxia Energy, Simply Solar specializes in the engineering and construction of photovoltaic canopies for parking areas, communication towers, and energy communities. With this debut, the company becomes the fifth new listing on BME’s growth markets in 2025 so far.

During the opening bell ceremony, a tradition marking the arrival of a new company to the market, Simply Solar’s CEO Pablo Cuesta expressed his gratitude for the support received and the opportunity to join the exchange.

Cuesta emphasized the company’s strength and long-term potential, describing it as “solid and future-ready.” He also underlined the firm’s competitive edge, which he attributed to its proprietary technology that can hold its own in the global market.

“This is a solid starting point,” said Cuesta, “and being listed should serve as a catalyst to improve our outlook going forward.”

Simply Solar currently operates in 15 countries and reports annual revenues of one million euros. Cuesta pointed to this as proof that the company is on a clear growth trajectory with a sustainable and profitable business model.

Juan Flames, CEO of BME, also spoke during the debut, noting that Simply Solar is the fifth company to join the BME growth segment this year. He highlighted the fast pace of new listings during the first quarter as a positive sign.

“This strong pace of new entries shows that companies across various sectors and sizes recognize the benefits of accessing capital markets,” Flames said. He also noted that the growing diversity of listed firms is good news for investors, as it expands the range of options available to them when building their portfolios.

With its market entry, Simply Solar reinforces the trend of innovative and sustainable businesses gaining visibility and resources through public markets. As the company moves forward with its international expansion, the listing could mark a turning point, opening doors to new opportunities and partnerships.
