A 45-year old Nigerian prophet, Emmanuel Oluseyi Bankoleh of Christ Wonder International Gospel Ministry aka (Wonder Land) has become a tenant of the male correctional centre, after he was alleged to have sexually penetrated on a 17-year-old girl.
The prosecution alleged that between 1 February 2014 and 1 October 2015, in Freetown, the accused sexually penetrated a child under the age of 18, to wit 17 years.
In her statement, the victim told the police that he came to know the accused in June 2013 when she decided to be a member of his church.
She said during that period, the accused used to have sexual intercourse with her at night on top of a grave slab at Circular Road Cemetery.
The victim further explained that, the fake man of God told her that by doing so; they will be interceding for people who will be coming to share their problems to him at the church.
“In 2014, he impregnated me twice and two abortions were done on me,” she told the police during investigation.
The victim also stated that she feared to inform her parents about what was going on during that time because after the first meeting at the cemetery, the accused gave her a bottle of water called Miss Paris to drink and threatened that if she dare expose him, the water will destroy her life.
“The accused also gave me a ring that was not visible to my eyes,” she explained. "I stopped attending the church after my second abortion.”
Explaining further, the victim said sometimes in 2015, she was returning home from Baptist Church when she saw the accused.
“He persuaded me to go to the usual ground (at Circular Road Cemetery) where he had another sexual intercourse with me on the same place (on top of a grave slab),” she said.
She said after that, the accused wrote a letter to his father apologizing for what he has done.
“The letter which the accused wrote was delivered spiritually because my father only saw it one day when he opened his drawer,” she concluded.
Shortly after the matter was mentioned for hearing yesterday, the father of the victim informed the court that her daughter has delivered the baby of the third pregnancy safely.
He was questioned by the Bench thoroughly to ascertain the condition of the victim at present and he replied she is doing fine.
The matter was adjourned to 29 January 2016 for continuation.
